HENRY SMITH
Leader of West Sussex County Council & Conservative Parliamentary Spokesman for Crawley
Welcome and thanks for visiting.
Being an elected representative is an honour and the opportunity to serve in public life a privilege. I believe people’s aspirations are the same. It doesn’t matter what age, sex, income, race, religion or background you are from, the majority strive and believe in the same things:
-
We all want the best education for our children and grand-children
-
We all want reliable healthcare close by
-
We all want to protect the green spaces around us and have clean streets
-
We all want to be able to enjoy being out and about without the fear of crime
-
We all want a sustainable environment for our childrens’ future
-
We all want to live in an independent country, proud of its heritage but interconnected with an ever shrinking world
-
We all want to keep more of the money we work harder and harder to earn, rather than the government taking more in tax and spending it less efficiently than we can on our families
-
We all want to be given power back to decide the future of our local community and country
These aims are my priorities as I seek to speak up for you. I hope you find this site useful, informative and stimulating.
To contact me as Leader of West Sussex County Council or as the local member for Pound Hill, Worth & Maidenbower, please email me at: henry.smith@westsussex.gov.uk
